From flame-grilled chicken to global beats – Nandos are bringing the heat in the UK with new music.

Nando’s Drops Amapiano EP - ‘Mix It Up Vol. 3’ Featuring Global Music Icons

Nando's: the UK’s favourite spot for a flame-grilled cheeky chicken meal are notoriously known for their music that’ll make you want to salsa, cha-cha and get those hips shaking. With the food chain originally from South Africa, then to Portugal, and now here in the UK, it only makes sense that Nando's gives the people what they want—a musical body of work.

Just in time for summer, Nandos have dropped their third musical release, Mix It Up Vol. 3 - a three-track EP featuring a stellar lineup of international stars: A$AP NAST (real name Tairiq Devega), Teni, and Unknown T, alongside South African producers Duppy, Nkulee, and Toby Franco.

Executive produced by the award-winning Musa Keys, Mix It Up Vol. 3 is a vibrant celebration of Amapiano, a genre that’s not only taking over dance floors but also climbing charts worldwide. This EP brings the infectious energy of South Africa's Amapiano right to your playlist.

Recorded at the Nando’s-sponsored Flame Studios in Johannesburg and their Soho studio in London, this EP is a testament to Nando’s belief that ‘Life’s Better When You Mix It Up.’ It blends international cultures and music styles, embracing the ever-evolving Piano genre that thrives on collaboration and experimentation.

Mix It Up Vol. 3 is where the irresistible rhythms of Piano meet the raw, edgy rap of A$AP NAST, the enchanting lyrics of Nigerian artist Teni, and the unique UK Drill sound of Unknown T. Trust us, these tracks are guaranteed to get you moving.

Let’s Get Into The Tracklist:

  1. 'Come Closer' is a solo track by Teni that still packs plenty of energy. With a heavy kick and distinctive percussion, it stays true to the Amapiano style. The inclusion of guitar highlights the commitment and artistic vision of both Teni and Tony, adding real depth to this love and passion-filled song while keeping it joyful and a pleasure to listen to. Just wait until TikTok gets their hands on this track!

  2. ‘No Police’ by Homerton’s finest Unknown T and produced by Duppy intertwines Drill with Amapiano. It’s unapologetically brash and intends to push boundaries.

  3. While it may seem like an unexpected collaboration, US Rapper A$AP NAST joins Teni on the second half of ‘Living My Life’ for a fresh take on the contemporary Amapiano sound. It’s a perfect fit for a project fuelled by the beauty of unexpected combinations.

Now in its third year, Nando’s Mix It Up project, in partnership with the non-profit Bridges For Music, celebrates Nando’s South African roots and supports emerging musical talent. This initiative not only highlights the incredible sounds from South Africa and beyond but also underscores Nando’s commitment to changing lives through music in the UK and SA.
