Afro-sexy Poster Girl Mellissa releases new single ‘Happy’
Today, Ghanaian Singer Mellissa (a rising artist from the UK) is releasing her new single ‘Happy’ along with a visualiser that’s sure to evoke nostalgia. ‘Happy’ is a captivating love letter that carefully skilfully balances cuteness and maturity. Mellissa’s soft voice resonates with the style of Amaarae, a connection that’s reinforced by her feature on the standout track ‘FEEL A WAY’ from Amaarae’s debut album, ‘THE ANGEL YOU DON’T KNOW’. Yet, Mellissa's hypnotic vocals also draw comparisons to Kali Uchis, affirming her status as the poster girl for Afro-sexy.
The dreamy beats, incorporating Latin, Afrobeats, Reggae, Soul, and R&B elements, are brought to you by North London Producer E-Whiz, who has also collaborated with artists such as Sampha and Ragz Originale.
