5 Podcasts by Black Women That You Should Listen to

Podcasts can often become a standby companion whilst on your daily commute, keeping you company whilst running errands or even the perfect background noise when making dinner. The podcasts that I usually listen to are released once a week, they accompany me during long commutes and my errands as it makes time go by faster!

1. Closet Confessions by Candice Brathwaite & CoCo Sarel

Closet Confessions is a new podcast by author and journalist Candice Brathwaite joined by actress and online personality CoCo Sarel, and it is here to stay. An interactive podcast where listeners are encouraged to share their confessions about beauty and cosmetic treatments, dating and relationships, fashion, petty revenge and more – even controversial opinions! Hosted by charismatic and witty duo Vic and Jas, Black Gals Livin’ is an award-winning podcast that discusses mental health, pop culture news and random shenanigans every Monday. The pair are refreshingly candid and vulnerable about mental health and their life experiences as well as uplifting Black women on their podcast. Their candour and openness to discussing sensitive topics are incredibly informative and relatable, simultaneously, Vic and Jas uplift the podcast with light-hearted conversations about pop culture news, TV shows and with their infectious and hilarious sense of humour.
