Travy’s New Single ‘Master Shifu’ Mashes Up Kung Fu Panda Energy with Hard-Hitting Rap

Nigerian-born, Irish-raised rapper Travy is on a steady run with a series of music releases leading up to his upcoming project, Spooky.

Travy’s latest single, “Master Shifu,” draws inspiration from the animated film Kung Fu Panda, with its title paying homage to the wise trainer, Master Shifu. This track is tailored for martial arts culture and rap enthusiasts alike.

Right from the start, Liam Harris (who also produced Forgive Me) kicks off 'Master Shifu' with a powerful production, featuring captivating string instrumentation that evokes a distinctly Eastern vibe that’s consistent throughout.

In addition to a recent co-sign from KSI, Travy’s previous single "FSSH" was featured on DJ Semtex’s "5 Tracks You Need To Know" and gained global attention through his "On Our Radar" performance.

Travy’s father, a general in the Nigerian Army, moved his family to Dublin in search of a better life. Though Travy is part of the first generation of Irish rappers, he has already made a significant impact on Dublin’s growing creative community through his music, fashion, and artistic endeavours.

Listen to Master Shifu now and experience Travy's latest release.
