Featuring standout artists like Zlatan, Kranium, Tiwa Savage, Valiant, and Haile—each a powerhouse in their respective genres—this project brings together some of the most influential voices across Afrobeats, Dancehall, and beyond. Released on March 28th, BlownBoy RU showcases Ruger’s signature ability to blend the sounds of the diaspora effortlessly.

From the moment REIntroduction kicks in, Ruger sets the tone with a solid opener, reaffirming his artistry and confidence. Jay Jay follows with an infectious groove, drawing inspiration from Nigerian football legend Jay-Jay Okocha—much like the player, the track is all about flair and finesse.

Dudu featuring Kranium delivers a rhythm you can’t help but shake something to. Rub Minds is an instant wheel-up moment—“Send me your location bay-beh! Baby, make I rub minds wit'chu!”—a certified singalong with infectious melodies and a rhythm that pulls you in from the first beat.

Toma Toma with Tiwa Savage is another standout, fusing sensual melodies with Ruger’s signature bounce. And then there’s Wish You Well—a slow wine riddim built for the dancefloor, with both Ruger and Valiant effortlessly gliding over the beat. DJs, this one needs to be in rotation!

With BlownBoy RU, Ruger proves once again why he’s one of the most versatile artists in the game. Effortlessly weaving through Afrobeats, Dancehall, and beyond, he delivers a project that feels fresh yet familiar—packed with bangers for every mood. Whether it’s smooth slow wines, energetic anthems, or pure singalong moments, this album has it all.
